Presenting a Culinary Clash of the Critics
It’s an evening-with-a-difference – Birmingham Press Club’s first-ever Curry Cook-Off competition featuring teams captained by two of the Midland’s leading food writers.
The evening is being organised by Bromsgrove-based Anita Sharma-James, an Indian chef and author, who will give a short demonstration on the art of Indian cookery – and offer expert guidance to the teams – prior to the cook-off challenge.
Anita, a former medical research scientist who set up her own cookery school seven years ago, said: “Cooking seems to be the new rock ‘n’ roll – breaking down barriers and offering all abilities a fun, creative experience. And Birmingham’s nationwide reputation for Indian food entices many companies here to enjoy our corporate Indian cookery events.
