Birmingham Press Club Curry Cook-Off Challenge

Birmingham Press Club held its first-ever Curry Cook-Off Challenge at Jojolapa Restaurant. The Nice and Spice team of media personality Llewela Bailey and food writers Paul Fulford and Richard McComb scooped the honours in a ‘blind’ tasting judged by the restaurant’s head chef Nand Ram. Indian chef and author Anita Sharma-James gave a demonstration of Indian cookery, while also offering expert advice to the teams prior to the cook-off. The event was sponsored by Wednesbury-based KTC (Edibles) Ltd, Britain’s largest private manufacturer and distributor of cooking oils and specialty ingredients.
